Animal Faces

Well, the animal faces are proving to be a lot of fun. I actually wore a tiger face to pick up Zachary at school today. If only I had my business cards! I am getting lots of ideas for marketing, however. I will say that it's nice that people don't hesitate to shout out their ideas!

I am also finding that it's hard to find a face painter in this neck of the woods. This is great news for my business! Tonight I will be setting up my website so I will be searchable on Google. I think that will be a big bonus.

I visited my friend, Amanda, today and did some work on her and her daughter, Maddie. It went really well and was nice to paint someones face other than my own. I'll admit that after painting and washing my face 10 times in the past two days, I'm gettin' a bit raw.

Enjoy the pics, and like me on facebook if you haven't! (on the right)

Cheers!

A little progress...

Have I mentioned that I am excited? I wanted to clue you all in on the progress.

I am sending in paperwork for a DBA today. It's a "Doing Business As" which protects the business name and basically registers the company with the county...so, it will be official!

As of now, I am doing things free of charge until I get a portfolio set up. After that, I will list pricing. At this point I am planning on offering:

*Children's Parties - face painting (Can be themed)
*Adult Parties - face and body painting (Can be themed)
*Booking for Halloween costume painting - let me know ASAP if you need me!
*Special events - face and body painting
*Boudoir painting and photography - ask for info
*Modeling painting and photography - ask for info

I am currently in the process of learning the mask painting...I am sure you have seen it in various places on the internet and zoos and such. I will be doing a few faces this weekend and will post pictures.

I have one birthday party booked that should be a blast. I can't wait to post pictures from that as well.

Cheers,
Liz

Welcome

I recently began exploring the art of body painting and am hoping you will find it as intriguing as I do! It started as a sort of creative outlet for me, as I am a stay-at-home mother of two. I did lots of research to find out what the process entails, as well as what kinds of equipment and supplies are needed. Once I purchased what was required, I did a trial run that was a small portion jeans on a naked leg. It was even better than I expected! The following weekend I painted a full pair of jeans. The model (male) was completely naked, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome.

Other than family, art is the thing I am most passionate about. I feel like this is opening new doors for me and cannot express my level of excitement in words. I recently got in touch with an artist friend, Ryan Decker, and a photographer friend, Kelly Goss (owner of Kelly Goss Photography) who seem to share the interest. After talking with Kelly, we are in the process of setting up a promotional shoot to advertise for an event she is holding.

I have created this blog to serve a few purposes. Firstly, I want you to see first hand the art that is being created. I want to keep you updated on different projects and hopefully help some of you develop an open mind for body art. Secondly, I will post here when I am looking for "talent". For instance, right now we are looking for models for the upcoming project.

We are looking for 2-3 girls who are in impeccable shape and 1-2 girls that are average beauties. You will be painted nude, or mostly nude, so we prefer to have models that are comfortable with their bodies. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP. If you aren't chosen for this particular event, that does not mean that you will not be needed in the future, so please let me know details about your availability and interest. This is strictly a volunteer basis, but you will be compensated with photos from the shoot if that is desirable for you. In the future we may be looking for any and all body types, so don't be afraid to e-mail me!

Please e-mail me if you are seriously interested, or have questions about the process at: seamlessbody@hotmail.com

*It is helpful if you include a full body shot of yourself. Not nude, but in clothing that allows me to see the curves of your body.
